My equipment

Through out the years I have had a lot of different equipment, but always going for bigger aperture 😋, starting from beginner telescopes and reaching to intermediate level set-ups.
Current Equipment
Mid 2025 - Now
Imaging telescope: Omegon 10" F/4 Astrograph
Imaging camera: ZWO ASI 533MC-P
Mount: Skywatcher HEQ-5 Pro Go-To
Guiding telescope: Omegon Microspeed 60mm
Guiding camera: ZWO ASI 715 MC
Coma corrector: TS GPU Superflat
Motor Focuser: ZWO EAF 5V

Skywatcher HEQ-5 Pro is actually outperforming factory specifications carrying this scope. I was sure I needed a bigger mount handling this huge 10" Newtonian but by the time I tested it, I realized what a monster the HEQ-5 is. I have tested up to 5 minutes sub-exposures with guiding, and it handles it perfectly. Thanks to it's fast focal ratio F/4, I don't even have to reach those sub exposures to collect as many photons as I can, because from even 90-second exposures you are able to distinguish objects with a magnitude of 15+.
Below I will attach an image from a random session, showing the guiding accuracy the HEQ-5 Pro has despite a payload of 18 kg! Guiding 10 inch omegon image
Early 2019 - Mid 2025
Imaging telescope: TS Photon 8" F5 Newtonian reflector
Imaging camera: ZWO ASI 533MC-P or Nikon D3500
Mount: Skywatcher HEQ-5 Pro Go-To
Guiding telescope: TS 80/600 F7.5 Achromat
Guiding camera: ZWO ASI 120MC-S
Coma corrector: TS GPU Superflat
Motor Focuser: ZWO EAF 5V

My mostly loved and used telescope before upgrading to the 10" Omegon. I have taken thousands of sub-frames, being the scope that make me love astrophotography. It is a big "light grabber", having the ability to even image Abell Galaxy Clusters with galaxies with a magnitude of 16.5-17 successfully. It is the telescope I have learnt a lot about imaging, initially using it with an entry-level DSLR Camera (the Nikon D3500) and then with the ZWO ASI 533 MC. It was also the set-up I learnt that the guiders should not actually need to be so big, but I could not let the idea of having a second smaller telescope on the top of the 8" go away.

Late 2015 - Early 2019
A Celestron EQ 130 MD that got its mount upgraded in around 2017 to the HEQ 5 Pro. The whole exploration has started there. The Go-To with 42900 objects available ready to slew, really guided me through the magic of the universe. The ZWO ASI 120MC-S which was my first astronomy camera, was able to capture the Moon, Sun, Planets and even Bright Messier objects or even bright planetary nebulae like NGC 6543 with very high resolution for its time. With such a small payload I was even able to capture 30-second exposures without guiding at 650mm focal length. As a child I was extremely impressed and happy with the results, patiently waiting the night to come out and bring out the telescope. Fun fact is that I still have all the data saved, and they reach a disk usage of around 150 GB!

Late 2013 - Late 2015
A Celestron 70 AZ which was basically the initial "virus" that got me in the hobby. I could believe that I was able to see the planets and the Moon in such good magnification and in dark skies even popular bright Messier Objects. I was even impressed that I was able to see the sun spots on the sun with a simple gray filter.
