C/2025 T1 (ATLAS) in action!
Comet C/2025 T1 (ATLAS) is a tourist passing through our solar system just between Mars' and Jupiter's orbits. It is currently traveling at a speed of approximately 130,000 miles per hour (209,000 kilometers per hour), which is the fastest speed ever recorded for a solar system visitor! The capture is at 16/11/2025 around 19:00 with a magnitude of around 15.32 (JPL), an integration of 30 1-minute sub-exposure images. Equipment was the Omegon 10" Newtonian, Skywatcher HEQ-5 and ZWO ASI 533MC-Pro. The white lines in the video are satellites passing between us and the comet.
